Single is not just a status. It’s actually a word that best describes a person who is strong enough to live and enjoy life without having to depend on others.

Although it is such a singular word, there are many variations of alone. There is the alone of an empty beach at twilight. There is the alone of an empty hotel room. There is the alone of being caught in a throng of people. There is the alone of missing a particular person. And there is the alone of being with a particular person and realizing you are still alone.

A woman with good shoes is never ugly.

I think it’s more interesting to see people who don’t feel appropriately. I relate to that, because sometimes I don’t feel anything at all for things I’m supposed to and other times, I feel too much. It’s not always like it is in the movies.

Fearing a man is a joke. I believe if he can breathe, then he can choke.

I don’t know what I want to do with my life, I just know I want to do it. I want to see my world. I want to meet every single person breathing on this earth. I want to give everyone a hug or a handshake and I want to make someone’s life a little easier. I want to be different than the people I know because that’s what makes us beautiful. I want to be absolutely ridiculous before I die. I don’t want regrets. I want to stand for something.

I lie on the grass, breathing in the silence, listening to the night, looking up at the stars. I look up at the night sky and I wonder about life, about you, about why I’m here. I look up at those cold, beautiful stars, so far away, and I realize life has never seemed so big.

If people sat outside and looked at the stars each night, I bet they would live a lot differently.

There’s no point in leaving if you have every intention of coming back.

This is our decision, to live fast and die young. We’ve got the vision, now let’s have some fun. Yeah, it’s overwhelming, but what else can we do?

Always take comfort in knowing that you are independent enough that you don’t need to rely on anyone else for your own happiness.

I believe being alone means you’re free. That old lovers miss you and new lovers want you and the one you’re with is the one you’re meant to be with. That everything you want to happen, will happen. If you decide you want it enough. That every time you think a sad thought, you can think a happy one instead.Dreams feel real while we’re in them. It’s only when we wake up that we realize something was actually strange.
