And you know, the thing is, if you have to pause and ask yourself, “Is it really worth it?” Sweetie, it probably isn’t.
No I’m not perfect, but I swear I’m worth it.
I guess to some extent, you get used to being alone. you get used to not expecting phone calls and having nothing to do at night. you don’t expect to turn around to open arms any longer. the small sounds of him have been replaced by silence. your thoughts echo through your head, with no one to share them with. all in all, being alone isn’t terrible, it just hurts like hell.
It’s been a tough year. For all it’s worth, I still keep your phone number at the bottom of my purse between the sticks of gum and the reasons why I don’t call anymore, just in case you change your mind.
What you need to know about the past is that no matter what has happened, it has all worked together to bring you to this very moment. And this is the moment you can chose to make everything new.
Maybe that’s what it all comes down to. Love, not as a surge of passion, but as a choice to commit to something, someone, no matter what obstacles or temptations stand in the way. And maybe making that choice, again and again, day in and day out, year after year, says more about love than never having a choice to make at all.
Yes, terrible things happen, but sometimes those terrible things; they save you.
You have come into my life through a door I was afraid would never be opened again, for many have slammed it on their way out. So please feel free to stay as long as you’d like. But should the time come that you must leave – please, close the door gently as you go.
Hate is baggage. Life’s too short to be pissed off all the time. It’s just not worth it.
That’s the problem with us. We’re both stubborn asses and always want to get our way. We both hate to be wrong and love to be right. But that’s the thing about love. No matter what happens, we always come back for each other, one more time.
I love you. Don’t you see? Don’t you understand? You’re the love of my life. I can’t leave you. But you’re constantly leaving me. You walk away when you want, you come back when you want. You stand by everyone, but you leave me. So i’m asking you, if you don’t see a future for us, if you’re not in this, please. Just end it because I can’t. I’m in it. Put me out of my misery.
Apologizing does not always mean that you are wrong and the other person is right. It just means that you value your relationship more than your ego.
I’m telling you, she is more of a treasure than you could possibly know. She is not some wholesome, small town girl, or some good for you fresh breath of air. She is a wonderful person with a huge heart, and just the beauty a guy only sees once, you know? If there is even the slightest chance you could break her heart, please, just for her sake, walk away.
