  As you’re reading this, your life’s getting shorter. It’s ticking away. I’m not saying this to frighten you or even scare you, though it may. I’m saying this to awaken you, to inspire you, to rise you out of your deep slumber, to really know you won’t live forever.

  

  That’s when you know you’ve found somebody really special. When you can just shut the hell up for a minute and comfortably share a silence.

  

  If we were alone, and it was absolutely silent, what would you say to me?

  

  I don’t know what I want to do with my life, I just know I want to do it. I want to see my world. I want to meet every single person breathing on this earth. I want to give everyone a hug or a handshake and I want to make someone’s life a little easier. I want to be different than the people I know because that’s what makes us beautiful. I want to be absolutely ridiculous before I die. I don’t want regrets. I want to stand for something.

  As soon as you start to have romantic feelings for someone, you’re fucked. You and this person are going to hurt one another. Even if you are together for the rest of your life, You’re going to feel indescribable pain. When you’re in, no matter how deep, you’re in.

  

  There are so many people reading these words now that if you put your hand against the screen, I can promise you, no matter what time it is, no matter where you are, someone else who feels the same is doing it too.

  I’m scared … I’m scared because I don’t want anyone else to have your heart, I don’t want anyone else to kiss your lips, I don’t want anyone else to be in your arms. I don’t want anyone, but me, to be the one you love. I’m scared because I don’t want anyone to take my place.

  

  I always thought we’d make it through anything and I still kind of believe it. Yeah, I have a new boyfriend and you have found someone else too, but I still have this feeling deep inside of me that some way, somehow, we’re going to end up together.
