You’ve got whatever it is

I never got to do half the things I heard I did.
No camera could ever capture the look in her eyes or the feelings she feels whenever she’s with him.
They are not against you; they are merely for themselves.
I think what messes us up the most is that perfect picture in our mind of how things should be.
You’re awfully small to be hugely irritating.
When exactly we go from kids to people, I’m not certain. I do know that it’s not about turning a certain age or graduating from high school – it happens when you’re not paying attention. We go from playing with our friends to playing with our friends feelings. Without our knowledge or consent, childhood slips away into the night and our innocence escapes us and we wake up one morning to find that we have become who we are.
It’s easier to go down a hill than up it, but the view is much better at the top.
I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out.
When you say too much about anything important, it always ends up sounding more trivial than it is. Words trash it.
The way we get to live forever is through memories stored in the hearts and souls of those whose lives we touch. That’s our soul print. Its our comfort , our emotional nourishment at the end of the day and the end of a life. How wonderful that they are called up at will and savored randomly. It seems to me we should spend our lives in a conscious state of creating these meaningful moments that live on. Memories matter.
It’s the worst feeling in the world to love and hate someone all at the same time. And it’s hard to watch things change when all you want is for them to stay the same. It’s funny but stupid how you want everything and nothing at the same time. It’s crazy when you want to let go, but you keep holding on. And when you want to move on, but you’re stuck right where you started. When feelings come and go and you can’t decide what you want. When you have so many things to say but you don’t know where to start. When you want them in your life so bad, but all you can do is push them farther and farther away. It’s so hard to think back to how things used to be and look at it now and realize that things are different and they may never be the same. You tell yourself it’s not worth it, but if it really didn’t matter, you wouldn’t spend so much time thinking about it.
You need to have a little faith, not everyone you love is going to leave you.
I love you. I love you not because you’re adorable or because you’re sweet, or because you’re my best friend. I love you because you make me step outside myself and look at who I really am. you make me want to be a better person, just because you are who you are.
I’m going to search for moments filled with you for the rest of my life.
Once you’ve found that passion, that heat, that intensity with that one guy. Don’t ever let it go. Once you’ve lost it, you’ll never get it back. Don’t give up for stupid reasons.
Promise me you’ll always remember: you’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
People disappear when they die. Their voice, their laughter, the warmth of their breath. Their flesh. Eventually their bones. All living memory of them ceases. This is both dreadful and natural. Yet for some there is an exception to this annihilation. For in the books they write they continue to exist. We can rediscover them. Their humor, their tone of voice, their moods. Through the written word they can anger you or make you happy. They can comfort you. They can perplex you. They can alter you. All this, even though they are dead. Like flies in amber, like corpses frozen in ice, that which according to the laws of nature should pass away is, by the miracle of ink on paper, preserved. It is a kind of magic.
But more importantly, you are a gift to all who know you, whether or not they realize it. If they don’t, they are blind. You have a special place in this world. All you have to do is find it. Do not give up on yourself, on the truths you have realized. Do not give in to those who would crush your dreams like nutshells. And never turn away from forever love.
We all want to fall in love. Why? Because that experience makes us feel completely alive. Where every sense is heightened, every emotion is magnified, our everyday reality is shattered and we are flying into the heavens. It may only last a moment, an hour, an afternoon, but that doesn’t diminish its value; Because we are left with memories that we treasure for the rest of our lives.
There is always one person you love who becomes that definition. It usually happens retrospectively, but it happens eventually. This is the person who unknowingly sets the template for what you will always love about other people, even if some of these lovable qualities are self-destructive and unreasonable. The person who defines your understanding of love is not inherently different than anyone else, and they’re often just the person you happen to meet the first time you really, really, want to love someone. But that person still wins. They win, and you lose. Because for the rest of your life, they will control how you feel about everyone else.
The more you change the less you feel.
