Love your life, every second of it

Don’t waste your time looking back on what you’ve lost, life is not meant to be traveled backwards.
It is one of life’s tragedies when you meet someone that you know is meant to be, but due to unexpected circumstances and misunderstandings, becomes someone you knew. Or when you can walk right past someone that at one part of your life was a big part of your life, and how you used to be able to talk to them for hours about the little nothings in life, and now you can barely look at them, and all you have left is that aching feeling in your soul.
Live in such a way that if anyone should speak badly of you, no one would believe it.
Not everything turns into what it’s supposed to be. And not everybody is supposed to just walk out of your life. Sometimes surprises and second chances do happen. And when they do, you better not be afraid to let them happen.
Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen.
Some people say they’d rather have something than nothing. But the truth is, it’s worse to have something halfway than to have nothing at all.
Love waits for one thing, the right moment.
We’re living on borrowed time and if you don’t put your heart out there on the line, you’re never really living at all.
The saddest people I’ve ever met in life are the ones who don’t care deeply about anything at all. Passion and satisfaction go hand in hand, and without them, any happiness is only temporary, because there’s nothing to make it last.
I’m the type of person that will try to make everyone smile, but when I’m in need of a smile, who’s gonna be there for me?
I think we spend too much time wondering why we’re not good enough. We waste too much time putting ourselves down, that we don’t ever stop to see that we are good enough. We spend too much time with our heads down and hearts closed, and never get a chance to look up from the ground and see that the sun is shining and tomorrow is another day.
We’re just afraid, period. Our fear is free floating. We’re afraid this isn’t the right relationship, or we’re afraid it is. We’re afraid they won’t like us, or we’re afraid they will. We’re afraid of failure or we’re afraid of success. We’re afraid of dying young or growing old. We’re more afraid of life than we are death.
Believe them when they say its his loss.
I understand the impulse. The impulse to want to put out your hand and want someone to be there at the end of your reach. To want someone to be close to. To want to kiss or touch, even if it’s wrong. The point is, you can’t control these feelings. Even if they’re wrong, they’re still there.
If you treat me right, I’ll treat you better.
I spent my life learning to feel less. Every day I felt less. Is that growing old? Or is it something worse? You cannot protect yourself from sadness without protecting yourself from happiness.
When it comes to relationships people are always so scared of the what-if’s that they forget the what-is. They spend so much time thinking, ‘What if I get hurt?’ and ‘What if it doesn’t work out?’ that they stop thinking about that things that are already real. They forget the feeling they get when the person they love walks into the room and the excitement that rushes through them when the phone rings because it might be the person they are waiting to hear from. Never let the fear of what-if stop you from letting yourself take a chance on love…because “what if” this is the person you’re destined to spend the rest of your life with?
I’ve seen the future and the future’s nothing new, just another day to miss the things we used to do.
You taught me many things, like how it feels to miss someone so bad it feels like a part of you is missing. I can tell you one thing, now that you have gone I never will forget you. You left your mark.
Even after all this time the sun never says to the earth, “You owe me.” Look what happens with a love like that. It lights up the whole sky.
Two of the most important things a person should bear in mind: use things, not people and love people, not things.
Success is the peace of mind that comes when you know you have given everything you have to give to the opportunities that life has presented you.
I’m thinking that sometimes you just have to make the decision to be happy. Just realize that things aren’t ever what you hoped they’d be. Not ever. For anybody. The only thing that separates one kind of person from another is that there are some who stay angry about it and there are some who accept what comes their way.
And I promise you this, no matter who enters your life, I will love you more than any of them.
You are most powerful when you are silent. People never expect silence. They expect words, motion, defense, offense.
I think the hardest part of this whole situation is that neither of us knows what’s going on. Neither of us knows what the other is thinking. And we are both trying to make decisions on something we don’t really know.
Don’t screw up the best thing that ever happened to you because you don’t know exactly who you are.
One day when you’re happy with your life and just enjoying it, you’ll get an unexpected text. Maybe by this time you’ve already forgotten his number, maybe not. And it’ll be him, wanting to “talk”…Wait, hold up. Remember all those tears you shed, while he shed none? Remember those corny pick- up lines, remember the hurt? Look at how happy you are now. Yeah, that’s what I thought. Don’t answer that text.
We lose ourselves in the things we love, we find ourselves there, too.
You have to give to receive. Give love to get love.
You can’t make the same mistake twice. The second time you make it, it’s no longer a mistake, it’s a choice.
I love it when you’re here but I’m better when you’re gone.
The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the past better than it was, the present worse than it is, and the future less resolved than it will be.
I may get lonely, but I am never alone.
If your wandering ever leads you to a place where you don’t know which road to choose; leave your worries behind, take the road that leads to mine and I’ll be waiting there for you.
Everyone says love hurts, but that is not true. Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Envy hurts. Everyone gets these things confused with love, but in reality love is the only thing in this world that covers up all pain and makes someone feel wonderful again. Love is the only thing in this world that does not hurt.
I know you’re scared. Don’t be. The world is really beautiful.
The truth? I tried as hard as I could. I took as much as I could take. I put up with all I could. And it still wasn’t enough.
You don’t realize how many things remind you of a person, until they become someone you no longer wish to remember.
They always say that time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.
Sometimes there doesn’t even have to be a reason. I knew from experience that no matter how much you turn things in your head, trying to make sense of them, some people just defy all logic.
Don’t throw yourself at someone because of who you think they are. Throw yourself at someone because you know you’re both in it for the memories.
